We had a bit of a mishap during check-in, but once we finally got inside, our stay at Le Stanze Di Nico was wonderful. The clean and renovated rooms were extremely comfortable, and the central location made it easy to explore Rome. The host was very helpful and made us a delicious breakfast. I highly recommend this hotel.

I have nothing but good things to say about Le Stanze di Nico. The staff, Nico and Sylvia, were incredibly gracious, accommodating and friendly; you feel like you're staying in somebody's home. The rooms are small but cozy, featuring a/c, free WiFi and all the usual amenities, and the service was excellent. The hotel is located north of the heart of Rome but is easily accessible by public transit and located in a safe, authentically Roman neighborhood. As a first-time international traveler, I was delighted to begin my Italian vacation here.
I had a completely pleasant stay and would definitely stay again!

Very hospitable and helpful staff. Airconditioning was very much appreciated because of the heat in the city. Also very clean. I would recommend this place to others as well.
I missed English channels on TV.. (though not the most important during a stay in Rome)

We were warned about difficulty in finding accommodation and therefore it was no problem. Owner is very helpful - came with me to find the daily parking garage. Very good proximity to Vatican and the rest of Rome if you are willing to walk.

The room is large and the bathroom is very clean. The place is in a nice, quiet area but still near the train and St. Peter's Basilica. The owners are friendly and recommended places for us to eat or visit. Ask directions from the owners on how best to get to the hotel from the airport. Don't take the Fuimicino to Termini train and Termini train to Octaviano if you have a lot of luggage. It is easier to the the bus from airport to Piazza Cavour and take another bus to stop near the hotel. . I would stay in this place again, if I had the chance.
It would be nice to have breakfast, instead of having to go out, even if this means getting charged for it.

The breakfast was OK, and the owner came around 7.30 and always answered if I wanted another coffee. The location was great, close to the main activity I had planned, and there were good restaurants nearby. Plus, it was easy to get around the city from the hotel.
Nobody came out to greet me, and the person I talked to on the intercom wasn't helpful. The 24-hour reception wasn't what I expected, and there weren't always staff members available.

Nice place, easy access by public transport, close to Vaticano.
Difficulties to get to it (you must open 4!!!! doors to the room). It is like living in an apartement.

The room was quite big, comfortable and extremely clean. The bathroom in the room was also very clean and new. The cleanliness and the comfort are the reasons why we were happy about our stay. The owner of the hotel was very friendly and helped us a lot to find the way to the city center.
It is not exactly at the center but it is not far away either. The distance might be a problem for those who do not want to use publlic transportation. It is also possible to walk to the city center but we preferred to use the subway and the busses, which were quite comfortable and fast. From the Spanish Steps to the hotel it costs around 10 Euros by taxi.

Our room's windows overlooked interior yard so it was very quiet at night! The room had a good spacious bathroom with full range of towels provided and new sanitary technics :) Air conditioning. Windows opening to inner quiet yard, so no problem in hot June Rome :)) Coffee, tea, water available at any time. Excellent and very fast Wi-Fi internet access. Payment cash/card. Possibility to print necessary docs from owner's printer! Was very useful for online registration :) just 5 minute walk from Ottaviano station. Excellent family restaurant just 10 minutes off at Yulius Caesar str (Tavernetta Cucina Umbra)
Towel-dryer did not work, maybe due to summer time. No other problems!

Very nice little BandB in Vaticano Prati. Walking distance to Vatican and then to the rest of Rome if you are young and like to walk like us. Just far away enough so that you really are and feel like you share the life of Romans, not the life of other tourists. The very nice and not too expensive restaurants nearby had 90% Italian clients. We like that.
If you are sensitive to noise like me, you will be happier with a room on the inside of the court rather than on the street. Also, if they could serve continental breakfast, that would be nice and save a good 10 euros on the breakfast at the nearby cafés.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, even trying to bridge language gaps, the willingness and determination to give good advice and provide information was remarkable. Room was spacious, comfortable, and clean, and the b&b was conveniently located near two metro stations, and a few minutes away from Vatican City.
If room faces the street, it can be noisy because it's near the ground floor. It's not near the main attractions of the city, but at the same time, it's not in an area crowded with tourists, and Rome is a very walkable city.
